Next they arrived at the dragon’s lair only to realize he’d already been beaten and they needn’t waste their precious time conquering the deadly beast. Well, at least it appeared to be a dragon’s lair.
They continued on their journey through the enchanted forest and on to the mountain of impossible travel, so named for the necessity of walking sideways across the mountain. Aha! It was time to use their snowshoes for real. But upon donning their snow equipment, they soon realized that the mountain was trying to best them by shifting the snowshoes under their feet while they walked, so every step was: step, slide, step, slide, and soon the queen’s little pinky toe complained it was getting too smooshed. She tried different methods of walking such as sideways up the mountain. However the still shifting snowshoes did not relent their painful attack and it wasn’t long before they were removed and again packed away.
