Young Women High Adventure

Who has ever heard of such a thing? In our ward, we'll start doing more activities that take our young women outdoors. The girls went up to Lake Tahoe on Thursday afternoon. Then they had dinner and painted a lightbulb. Fun! Friday morning, they went on a hike to Eagle Lake, around Emerald Bay in Zephyr Point. Then they had lunch and went to the beach. Friday evening, Bryce and I showed up. Our Bishopric prepared the meal--steak, ribs, corn on the cob, chips, and sushi. Finished off with homemade ice cream. Then we had a fireside. It was awesome to have so many girls there. Everyone but two came.
That night, we played the Animal Game, yes an old girls camp favorite. They were pretty sketchy at first, and I didn't know if I could get them interested, but they did it! Three girls just watched, but everyone else played and they really got into it. We played for like, an hour and a half. They were so good! And they had such a fun time. And everyone was the dead gopher at least once...most of them, multiple times.
Saturday they all slept in, but Bryce was up at the crack of dawn. Surprised? He said that boys high adventures were very different from girls high adventures. We went on a bike ride up the mountain and found some fun places. It was beautiful. In the early afternoon, we went to Lake Tahoe.
The wind was starting to pick and the water was pretty choppy, but we sent out three girls on our canoe anyway. I think that they liked it. But most importantly they survived! The wind kept picking up and they were like 100 yards out in the water. They almost capsized the canoe and almost ran into two boats. Finally they brought it in and wouldn't get back in for anything. So Bryce and I decided that it was time to take the canoe home. We got in and the wind kept picking up. A police boat came and told us that we needed to have life jackets. Oops!
We had a great time. It was wonderful to have the girls draw closer together and become more unified. Maybe we'll be a little more adventurous next year!:)

This sounds great! I love it when the girls get to do the outdoors stuff.

"We played for like, an hour and a half" I thought you were trying to kill the habit of saying "like" improperly! Just wanted you to know I'm looking out for you.

Are you really looking out for me, or are you simply correcting my grammar?
