I am learning construction. Yesterday our trusses arrived by truck. They were lifted by crane over the top of our house.
Caleb was on our roof and guided them over. There were 21 that were divided into three different bundles.
After all the trusses were on our roof, Caleb, Bob, and Izzy opened a package and slid one truss to the end of the roof, then nailed it down. Then they grabbed the next truss and slid it down the roof until it was 16 inches away from the first. D and I went out to watch. It was fun to see the crane and and how our roof is coming together.
One of D's favorite pass times (besides pulling off my recipe books) is to knock down block towers that I've set up.
