We watched for about an hour, then someone said, you have to watch closely. There are groups of whales every couple of minutes. We didn't see the whales themselves, but after some practice some of us identified the carbon dioxide that is visible from a quarter mile to half mile away. We were told that whales are the most efficient at inhaling and exhaling. They can fill and empty their lungs, which are the size of Volkswagon Bugs, in 2 seconds. Pretty cool!
